Jordan and Sam's wedding was a very lovely wedding at D'Amore. The wedding was gorgeously designed and after working with this couple, we could truly feel the love they share with each other and their families.

D'Amore, located in the Salesforce Tower on monument circle downtown Indianapolis; is the tallest venue in the State of Indiana. D'Amore has an open layout with makes events here very easy to manage. This wedding featured the ceremony in the South Room, followed by a cocktail hour in the West Room and then the reception in the North Room. Rooms are closed to each other via back drops or curtains such as in the picture below.

This layout gives clients to ability to have parts of the event in different rooms without having to leave the venue!

With a 360 degree, floor to ceiling view from 48 floors up (over 900 feet), is the key difference between D'Amore and any other venue in downtown, Indianapolis.

Jordan and Sam's reception was held in the North Room. Jordan and Sam's design was unique and gorgeous. The mix between round and square tables is something we don't often see, but this reception pulled it off perfectly.

A fun night of dancing, drinks and socializing is the best way to finish such a wonderful evening.

Recently, we asked the chef at Thomas Caterers of Distinction, about her top five favorite stations. Here is a list of the top five stations that are great for wedding receptions, cocktail hours or holiday parties.

4. Mini Pizza Cheeseburger Slide

The Mini Pizza Cheeseburger is an interactive hors d'oeuvre station. This station brings a tasty treat and a bit of fun together. When a mini burger is called for, a box containing the pizza cheeseburger; comes sliding down the ramp for a guest to take.

3. Nitro Pops

The Nitro-Pops station is a fun combination of treat and nitrogen. Popcorn or Reece’s mini cups are placed on a skewer and then dipped into nitrogen.

2. Steak & Potato - Twice Baked Peruvian- Beef Tenderloin

This station features a twice baked Peruvian topped with bacon, creme fraiche and scallions with beef tenderloin, mushroom and red onion skewer.

This delicious plate comes in at number two station, due to its innovated purple potato (Naturally purple!) and combination with beef tenderloin it’s a hunger satisfier. With such a great taste and elegant design, this station is a must have addition to any event.

Nitro Sorbet

This Sorbet features very small crystals due to the freezing process with nitrogen. These small crystals are key to the texture and taste. They disappear in your mouth, leaving only the wonderful taste of sorbet to remain.

The Chef selected the Nitro Sorbet as the top station because of the show that takes place at each table. Each person, at every table, watches the server makes the sorbet, allowing the guest to watch the process of freezing with nitrogen. The result, people will remember the innovative creation of sorbet and the swiftly moving smoke as the Nitro Sorbet becomes a tasty treat for you to savor.

Sundown is seen as the most romantic time of the day. It can take your breathe away, and leave you speechless. D'amore Events of Indianapolis offers a 360 degree view that helps you savor every last bit of the sunset on your wedding day. At D'Amore you can have a gorgeous ceremony just steps away from the start of your reception. The convenience and the beauty make it perfect location to start tour love story together.

If you have a holiday party to plan, it’s never too early to start. In fact, many companies use the old catch phrase “Christmas in July” as a mantra to stay ahead of the planning before the hustle and bustle of the holidays get too hectic. This is also a great call to action for anyone who is charged with planning their family and friends holiday party.

The earlier you start, the more enjoyable the planning can be. Choosing the location is key. Holiday parties tend to be more personal, so often times the host offers up their home for the event. What many people find is that, while your home may be beautiful and perfect for you and your family to live in, it was never designed to be an event venue. Parking, space and restrooms are often not ideal for hosting 50+ people. It’s also important to keep in mind the preparation process such as decorating, food and beverage. This is why many individuals are taking a page out of the corporate planner’s playbook and hosting their personal holiday party at an actual event venue. While this can cost more, it does allow you to focus on being a guest at your own event. It also takes the stress out of having to prepare the food yourself, or worrying if you will run out of eggnog, or worse yet, toilet paper.

I’m not saying now is the time to put up the tree and send your Holiday cards, but if you enjoy the planning process and want to reduce stress, it couldn’t hurt get started a little early. You might even find yourself humming a few bars of Jingle Bells.

The day began with the wedding ceremony on the south side, and what a beautiful ceremony it was. The classic chameleon chairs were padded and covered with all white covers. That, mixed with the eclectic floral designs and accent pieces plus the beautiful natural light shining in created the perfect ultra-modern wedding ceremony. The bridesmaids wore full-length gowns in varying shades of purple that perfected the purple, modern-chic theme of the wedding.

After the ceremony, the guests cocktailed on the west side where they were surprised with a nitro grasshopper specialty drink station. The cold milkshake was perfect on the hot summer day. Accompanying the specialty beverage were various hors d’oeuvres including: chicken breast wrapped in savory bacon, mango and beef short rib tacos paired with a mini margarita, ham and smoked gouda spaghetti fritters, grilled California flat bread.

They made their way into the dining room overlooking the north side of Indy. The room was elegantly transformed with lavish floral in shades of purple mixed with crystal accents. The guests enjoyed their dinner and watched as the couple shared their first dance together. After dinner guests were treated to the city’s fourth of July fireworks display. There is no better view of the show than from up at D’Amore. They spent the rest of the evening dancing the night away. We were so happy we could share this holiday with the couple and their friends and family.

We ended the 2015 summer wedding season on a high note with an elegant wedding reception at the top of the city. The north room at D’Amore was absolutely stunning with ivory linens on the dining tables and pastel centerpieces alternating with the beautiful chrome candleabras by Accent Floral Design.

It was a beautiful afternoon and evening for a wedding reception at D’Amore. The floor to ceiling windows throughout the venue mixed with the clear summer skies allowed the most beautiful natural lighting into the venue. It was the perfect complement to the design and decor.

Guests dined on Thomas’ traditional caesar salad for the first course. The entrée was a boneless chicken breast with a tomato pesto cream garnished with pine nuts. The chicken was paired with oven roasted potato wedges with fresh rosemary, grilled seasonal vegetables, and a savory corn crème brulee. After enjoying wedding cake for dessert, guests spent the evening dancing and celebrating with the newlyweds. It was the perfect end to the wedding reception and the summer wedding season.

We were honored to help James and Julia celebrate their joyous union as a couple. It meant so much that they trusted us with their wedding day.

The day started off with a beautiful ceremony on the south side overlooking the city. The ceremony was adorned with beautiful greenery and flowers, but the focal point of it all was the Chuppah. Guests made their way to their seats where they would witness the vows between the couple. Mazel Tov!

Once the ceremony concluded the bride and groom greeted each of their guests as they entered into the cocktail hour. They delighted on hors d’oeuvres including: Grilled Pear and Gorgonzola Flat Bread, Candied Bacon Spoons, Orange Balsamic Chicken Lollipops with an Orange Pop rock dip coating and Smoked Salmon Pizza.

Guests gradually made their way into the elegant and sophisticatedly designed dining room. They were served a salad and entrée course of Roast Tenderloin of Beef and Boneless Chicken Breast. After dinner the wedding cake was cut, toasts were given and formal dances were done. The couple surprised the guests later in the evening by opening a dessert station to fuel their late night singing and dancing! What a great celebration of love!

The North room offers spectacular views of the beautiful monuments and memorials in the center of downtown Indianapolis. It is the perfect setting for a cocktail reception or a seated affair. Hosting your event here allows guests to see the beautiful city scape transition to nightfall.

Only from the highest point in the city will your guests get to experience an unobstructed view of the sunset and all of its splendid colors. Indiana sunsets are breathtakingly beautiful and the most romantic opportunity for the newlyweds to capture a stunning photograph.

Throughout the year there are several firework displays in downtown Indianapolis. From D’Amore, your guests will have a private and up-close view of the firework shows. The fireworks provide fun entertainment for all in attendance as well as candid and truly unique opportunities for photos of the couple.

It is truly an honor to be a part of a couple’s wedding. It is beautiful to witness their ceremony followed by the celebration for them and their families. This particular couple was all about the guest experience. The bride was focused on a more ‘timeless’ modern approach to the design elements of her event, which perfectly suited D’Amore’s modern personality.

Guests arrived for the wedding ceremony overlooking the south side Indianapolis. After the ceremony, they delighted on passed hors d’oeuvres and refreshments while bride and groom took some glamorous photos. Dinner followed on the north side and the guests watched the day transform into night, while capturing striking sunset pictures. Following the delicious dinner guests were treated to a dessert tower. While it still incorporated the tradition of a first cake cut it still offered guests a variety of delectable choices. It is so unique to see traditional weddings embellished with a modern twist.

The first and most important thing to do when shopping for a venue for your event is to ask all of the right quesitons beforehand. Choosing which questions that will get you the answers to help you make the most informed decision is the tricky part. We recommend starting with these questions, and adding any additional ones you may have.

D'Amore was desinged with you in mind. Its clean walls and 360-degree floor to ceiling windows lend themselves to be customized to your specifications. The tiled ceilings are superb for hanging decor such as floral pieces or drapes. Our built-in up lighting surrounds the whole venue. With over 900 colors to choose from, you can choose the lighting color that best fits your color scheme.

Another fun feature at D'Amore is the 4 rolling vertical shelving walls to further enhance your event elements. Many couples use them as a back drop during their ceremony filling them with candles and flowers. We have also seen them used as memory walls with baby pictures of the couple or pictures of their married family members. We have even seen escort cards placed on them to make use of vertical space. They are also great vehicles for corporate branding.

Lining the interior walls are nine 60" LED/LCD televisions which are often used to present video slide shows at wedding receptions. They are also great for branding, sponsor recognition or presentations at a corporate luncheon or meeting. There are countless opportunities to truly enhance your event at D'Amore and create the wedding of your dreams or a corporate event that will impress.

Detail+Design, Boldly Chic Events

Oh the things you will see at D’Amore. From the highest point in downtown Indianapolis the view is a little better and a little brighter. With 360 degree views of Indianapolis, you can see for miles in all directions.

But with all of the far away sights some of the best sights are just a few feet away. During holidays and sporting events there is never a shortage of things to see. Monument Circle, just to the south of D’Amore, is lovely all year long, however it is particularly beautiful during the holidays. The 4th of July offers a front row seat to the city’s largest firework display. The ever changing lights of the IPL building are always a fun surprise, whether they are creating an American Flag on the 4th of July or a heart for Valentine's Day.

As impressive as the man made features are, some of the most impressive views have come from nature. D’Amore is the perfect spot to see a lovely sunset, or scary storm clouds rolling in.

From time to time we see the unexpected, like window washers looking back at us from the other side of the glass. We have even been surprised to have a helicopter pilot stopping by to say hi. Yes, the view is better and brighter at the top of the city! I wonder what we will see next… Stay tuned!
